Tasting Notes: Nera 10 was one of Marko's first wine that he ever made at Tenuta Est. When he first started he was very young and admits he did not have as much creativity with labels and designs, so for every new wine, he simply put a number on them. Now he has a more clear identity in the wines and labels, but he leaves the numbers on the wines to remember where he started from.
When he made Nera 10 from 100% Crna Tamjanika, he didn't know what he would get because even though this grape is exclusively indigenous to this region, in recent years, no one in their region made varietal Crna Tamjanika, so it was an experiment to start. but he wanted to see all of the grapes potential in purity.
Nera is a beautiful wine showcasing this varietal. Intensely colored with beautiful and unique aromatics coming from a red. Super floral popping with rose petals and lilacs, along with an abundance of ripe fruit, dark brambly wild berries, and bright blueberries. The palate is surprisingly full and juicy yet exceptionally fresh, with balanced tannins and a long lingering finish.
